Hey.
The past few times I've hosted Killer, I've gotten frustrated with the bot.
Here's the "problem": Whenever you start the module with the !start command, it shouts out (arena messages) the 8 lines of text:
….. - RULES of KILLER - …..
… One person is, in secret, the Killer. If anyone is killed by the …
.. Killer, they are specced. Revealing the Killer's identity = CHEATING. ..
. To guess who the Killer is, PM !guess <name> to the bot. If you guess .
. wrong, you'll be specced, but if you're correct, you become the Killer! .
. Send !whoami to the bot to check on your status. Otherwise, normal elim. .
. - OBJECTIVE - .
. - Be the last one standing, no matter the cost.
In my opinion, this is literally useless. There is absolutely not enough time for players to read the rules before the game starts, so using !rule before starting the game is the way to go no matter what. There is about 13 seconds total time to read the rules if you don't use the !rules command on the bot, before the game starts.
I'd suggest removing the rules that come out when you !start the game, forcing hosts to use the !rules command which gives players more time to read them and maybe even understand the gameplay objective.
